A leading transportation provider is seeking a Technician in Penzance to carry out maintenance and fault finding across a diverse fleet of trains. Candidates must have an NVQ level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical discipline and experience working both in teams and independently. Responsibilities include performing heavy component changes and attending failures on main and branch lines, requiring a strong emphasis on safety standards. The role involves rotating shifts, and potential work outside of Penzance may be required.

With more than one hundred million passenger journeys each year, we carry people to over 275 stations in the South West, from Cornwall and South Wales to London, passing through beautiful country and some of the UK's top tourist destinations.
As a Technician, you will work as part of a multi skilled team who are key to ensuring our fleet are correctly marshalled, delivered and presented to our customers on time. You will be involved in many activities that are vital to the running of our busy maintenance depot at Long Rock and will be encouraged to participate in improving processes.
The successful candidates will be joining one of our four existing teams with various rosters which are aligned to workload and therefore could be changed to meet these needs.
Successful candidate will be subject to a safety critical medical.
