Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company in Kirkham is seeking an experienced engineer to deliver effective maintenance support, ensuring optimum performance of production equipment. The role demands a proactive approach to maintenance in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on health, safety, and hygiene. Ideal candidates will have an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and experience in the food or FMCG industry. The position operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Time-served multi-skilled apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing, ideally food or FMCG.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance activities as per CMMS.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
