Qualifications

  • Experience of designing, implementing and/or managing multinational insurance programmes, ideally with exposure to property programmes.
  • Operating in a highly regulated environment with knowledge of governance/compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to present information clearly and appropriately for the audience.

Overview

Your role

will protect all parties in the chain of multinational programme and fronting business.

Responsibilities
  • You will manage the overall exposure to the Global Network of property lines of business, including accumulation, exposure profiling and management. You will need to build relationships with senior internal parties managing the groups reinsurance and counterparty risks.
  • You will be asked to provide your knowledge to internal and external users on local policy wordings, local market practice, master policy clauses and programme structures.
  • You will train internal and external users on how to construct multinational programmes, issue pure fronting business, create compliant premium allocations, adhere to tax liabilities and help advise on compliant admitted and non admitted reinsurance and insurance.
  • Some international travel where you will provide face to face support and training to the networks partners
Your skills and experience

To be successful in your role of Multinational Technical Underwriter you will need :

  • Experience of designing, implementing and / or managing multinational insurance programmes, ideally with exposure to property programmes, in either an underwriting, claims, or operations function – multiclass experience beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of operating in a highly regulated environment, with a working knowledge of the governance / compliance frameworks in operation within INTACT or similar insurance company.
  • A clear communicator, able to present information clearly, unambiguously and in a readily comprehensible and appropriate format for the audience and business purpose
  • Ability to build and develop relationships across all levels of the business including at an executive level
