Overview

We’re looking to welcome a dependable professional to join a busy property maintenance team covering a variety of domestic and commercial sites in Ashington. This permanent role requires travel between locations, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

The successful candidate will take on a multiskilled role, carrying out a range of maintenance and repair tasks while supporting planned schedules and urgent reactive jobs. This position requires someone who can deliver high quality workmanship and maintain excellent customer service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Completing general repairs and maintenance across residential and commercial properties.
• Supporting trades colleagues to ensure efficient job completion.
• Responding to both scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Adhering to health and safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting any follow-up work needed.
• Travelling independently to multiple work sites (full UK driving licence required).

What you will need

• Previous experience in a multiskilled maintenance role or as a Multi Trader.
• Practical skills across trades such as joinery, basic plumbing, tiling, and plastering.
• A valid CSCS card, mandatory for this position.
• Experience working in property maintenance, ideally in domestic or commercial environments.
• Strong communication skills and a focus on excellent customer care.

What this role offers

• Salary: £28,851 - £31,000 per annum including standby payments.
• Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays (36 days total).
