A leading educational institution in Manchester is seeking a Multi Trade Operative to perform joinery repairs and maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Principal Building Fabric Manager, respond to emergencies, and contribute to a secure environment for students and staff. About the Role:
As a Multi Trade Operative, you will serve as an integral member of the team responsible for executing critical repairs and maintenance across the university campus. Working in collaboration with the Principal Building Fabric Manager, you will perform both reactive and planned maintenance tasks. Your primary responsibilities will encompass Joinery repairs, while also extending to locksmith duties and additional building fabric repairs including minor plumbing work.
This position directly supports the university's core objectives of teaching, learning, research, and commercial operations by ensuring minimal disruption to academic activities and maintaining a secure and professional environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Additionally, you will fulfill an essential function within the Estates Operations out-of-hours service, responding to emergency situations as required, with appropriate compensation for after-hours assignments.
