Overview

Position: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Somerset (Commutable from Yeovil, Shepton Mallet, Wincanton, Glastonbury and surrounding areas)
Salary: £42,000 - £45,000
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
06:00-14:00//14:00-22:00

Zest have partnered up with a growing and successful FMCG in the heart of Somerset. We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join the team on a double day shift. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable and expanding company.

Similar roles include: electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, engineering technician, maintenance technician, maintenance engineer.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the production facilities.
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Ensuring minimal downtime by efficiently managing breakdowns as well support.
  • Collaborating with the production team to optimise equipment performance.
  • Ensure that health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Carry out site service maintenance when required.
What We're Looking For
  • A strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in an FMCG environment (preferred).
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts.
