Overview

The Role: We are seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing engineering team within a high-volume manufacturing environment. You\'ll be responsible for maintaining and supporting a range of production machinery, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and ensuring safe and reliable operations across a 24/6 site.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance to required standards.
  • Monitor machine performance, identify potential failures, and take corrective action.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Use manuals and failure history to develop new preventative tasks and train colleagues.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure equipment is returned in safe working order.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a strong safety culture.
About You
  • Multi-skilled maintenance background (electrical and/or mechanical).
  • Qualified in Engineering or apprenticeship-trained.
  • Flexible to work rotating days and nights.
  • Strong fault-finding ability and able to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with inverters, servo/DC drives, and circuits (415V to 24VDC).
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and high-speed rotating machinery.
  • Fabrication skills desirable.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing engineering environment preferred.
Package
  • Salary up to £52,500.
  • 36-hour working week.
  • Shift pattern: 3 days on, 3 off, 3 nights on, 3 off, repeat, followed by an 8-day break (Christmas shut down included).
  • 18 days holiday.
  • Overtime available (weekday time +¼, weekend time +¾).
  • Pension (4% employee / 4% employer).
  • Death in service cover (2x salary).
