Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £50,422.56

Shift Pattern: 4x on 4x off Days only 12x hour shift

Overview

Orion is partnered with a very fast paced precision engineering business located in Birmingham which is recruiting for an experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team.

All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and have a minimum of 1x years' experience working in the UK in a manufacturing environment. CNC experience is KEY!

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of CNC machinery
• Maintaining manual and automatic machinery in a CNC workshop
• Maintain manual lathers, milling machines, planers, bar peelers etc…
• Maintenance of Hydraulic & pneumatic systems
• Work proactively to maintain and repair equipment across the plant facility
• Detailed shift handovers
• PPM's
• Continuous improvement projects

Requirements

• Must have at least 2x years' experience working with CNC machinery
• MUST have experience maintaining CNC machinery
• Must be confident with electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Experience stripping and rebuilding machinery
• Must have experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Must have at least 5x years' experience in plant maintenance
• Must have an electrical or mechanical qualification - HND/NVQ
• Machinery installation and commissioning experience
• Continuous Improvement Project experience
• PLC's - fault finding
• Be able to understand Schematics drawings.
• Reliable and flexible attitude to work.
• Excellent communication skills.
