About The Role

Join Our Dynamic Engineering Team at Kober! We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to become a vital part of our Engineering Team at our bacon slicing and packing facility in Cleckheaton. If you are passionate about Engineering and are eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!

Position Details

• Schedule： 4 on 4 off (Days and Nights), 6am - 6pm & 6pm - 6am
• Location： Kober, Cleckheaton - Site Based Role
• Contract Type： Permanent

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Completion of reactive maintenance work when machinery breaks down to ensure impact to line efficiencies is minimised.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance to schedule.
• Ensure high standards of engineering workmanship across site.
• Team working on site development projects.
• Contribute to the development of existing and new standards for key items of equipment and facilities.
• Lead high standards of safety practices across the business.
• Complete routine tasks without being prompted, including any other duties relating to your role.
• Participate in Engineering focused activities.
• Contribute towards continuous improvement projects.
• Support site technical issue resolution and completion of improvement actions through good engineering practices and guidance.
• Identify and share best practice and contribute towards raising awareness, improving performance and transitioning to a pro‑active engineering culture.

What are we looking for?

• A minimum of level 4 HND in Mechanical Engineering.
• An electrical engineering qualification would be an added advantage.
• Experience in a fast paced food manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction.
• Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner.
• Understanding of environmental requirements and responsibilities.
