We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Multi Skilled Carpenter to join our dynamic team. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

We are seeking a conscientious and enthusiastic Multi-Skilled Carpenter with a can-do attitude and flexible approach. Trades persons must have relevant qualifications and broad experience in their core trades with additional experience and capability to complete tasks outside their core competency. The operative must maintain a professional appearance and attitude and be polite and courteous at all times. It is a further requirement that all operatives must pass a DBS and Police vetting check.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A wide variety of carpentry repairs in occupied and unoccupied residential properties, corporate and civic buildings. The work may include:

1. Fitting of various types of doors (including fire doors).
2. First and second fixing carpentry.
3. Kitchen installations.
4. DFG adaptations.
5. Ceramic wall tiling.
6. Minor plumbing and decorative works.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

1. Be able to demonstrate you are a competent tradesperson and have the tools to do the work.
2. Have the prerequisite technical, statutory, and legislative knowledge for the trades you perform for the company ensuring you keep abreast of updates and changes.
3. Have knowledge of the materials and methods used in the building and maintenance industry.

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED

1. A trade specific qualification minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry.
2. Must be competent in 2 other secondary skills.
3. Full current driving license.
4. A DBS check is required before commencement of role.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. Over 3 years trade experience, ideally in the residential repairs sector.
2. Experience preferred in UPVC repairs and maintenance (doors and windows).
3. Kitchen and/or bathroom installations – 1st & 2nd Fix.
4. Be able to competently complete basic plumbing repairs.
5. Fire-door installation and awareness of associated regulations.
6. Being competent within your sphere of expertise.
