Overview

Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure is required for appointment to these posts. The City of Doncaster Council is a confident, ambitious organisation which puts improving the life of its residents at the centre of everything we do. You have an opportunity to be part of this in the role of MST Therapist. City Of Doncaster Council’s Children’s Services are proud to be launching an innovative team as part of our wider edge-of-care offer. We will be launching a brand-new Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Team to address the behavioural challenges faced by young people between ages of 10 and 17, with a dual purpose: preventing family breakdown, or supporting safe reunification from care settings back to family or community-based foster care.

Responsibilities

• Work intensively with families where there is risk of breakdown or a reunification plan in place.
• Partner closely with social workers to plan and deliver high-impact interventions.
• Be part of a highly skilled, supportive team with a shared passion for keeping families together safely.

What You’ll Get

• Weekly group supervision with the onsite supervisor and consultation from the MST consultant
• Quarterly clinical development days
• Training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation work with young people

The Practical Bit
