A local government council in Doncaster seeks an MST Therapist to work with families facing behavioral challenges. The role involves high-impact interventions, collaboration with social workers, and training in MST and DBT. Candidates must be qualified professionals and show flexibility for home visits and travel. This position offers competitive leave entitlements and local government benefits.
Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure is required for appointment to these posts. The City of Doncaster Council is a confident, ambitious organisation which puts improving the life of its residents at the centre of everything we do. You have an opportunity to be part of this in the role of MST Therapist. City Of Doncaster Council’s Children’s Services are proud to be launching an innovative team as part of our wider edge-of-care offer. We will be launching a brand-new Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Team to address the behavioural challenges faced by young people between ages of 10 and 17, with a dual purpose: preventing family breakdown, or supporting safe reunification from care settings back to family or community-based foster care.
Whether you’re a qualified social worker or other qualified professional, if you want to do purposeful, relationship-based, trauma-informed and solution-focused work with families, this is your chance.
You’ll need flexibility - MST work involves home visits and some out-of-hours work to meet family needs. A willingness to visit young people where their current care placement is, may require out-of-authority travel throughout the UK. In return, you’ll be part of a council committed to innovation and care that works.
