A local support service in Trealaw is looking for a personal assistant to help with daily living needs, including personal care and engaging in activities. The candidate will support the employer in accessing the gym and enjoying leisure time. Flexibility in hours and a clean driving license are essential. This part-time role requires a DBS check and will offer competitive pay.
I am a gentleman in my forties living in the Williamstown area of the Rhondda. I am a funny character and love to socialise, I will chat to everyone and anyone. I would really enjoy going to the beach in the summer with my potential PA, going for a coffee, going swimming and many other activities. I love all kinds of sport but two of the main ones are football and boxing, I used to box competitively prior to a road traffic accident which resulted in physical disabilities. I am determined to walk without assistance from crutches so the gym is one of the main places I would like to go to with my potential PA to practice walking., I am looking to employ a personal assistant who can help me to access the gym, shares my interests and is a good companion. Also to support me with my daily living needs whilst my personal assistant is on holiday and/or covering sickness. This would involve daily support to include showering, drying and dressing. Making my bed and preparing breakfast., Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
