Job description
Administering MOVEit
  • Manage the MOVEit Transfer and MOVEit Automation solutions, including user and folder creation, permission management, and task automation.
  • Perform software upgrades, installations, and regular maintenance to ensure system stability and security.
  • Monitor MOVEit environments for availability, health, and performance, and resolve any issues that arise.
Secure File Transfer
  • Implement and enforce secure file transfer protocols and policies, including SFTP, FTPS, and HTTP/S.
  • Manage and configure encryption (eg, PGP) and other security features to protect data at rest and in transit.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations.
Collaboration and Support
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including IT, DevOps, and development, to deploy and integrate MOVEit solutions with other applications and systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users on MOVEit functionality and troubleshooting.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for MOVEit Transfer and Automation products within the organization.
Documentation and Best Practices
  • Document MOVEit standards, best practices, configurations, and workflows.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for troubleshooting procedures and system configurations.
Automation and Optimization
  • Automate file transfer workflows and integrate MOVEit with existing applications using features like REST APIs, scripts, and pre-built tasks.
  • Identify and implement functional and technical improvements to optimize MOVEit performance and efficiency.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a MOVEit Administrator.
  • Knowledge of MOVEit Transfer and MOVEit Automation administration.
  • Experience with IIS/Windows Server administration.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL Queries, and Scripting (eg, Jenkins).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
