About the Role and Client: We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Motor Vehicle Technician to support teaching activities by maintaining and preparing practical resources. You will assist students and lecturers, ensuring a safe and well‑maintained environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain materials, equipment, and facilities for classes
  • Assist with practical activities and student projects
  • Support teaching sessions as requested
  • Maintain hygiene and Health & Safety standards
  • Cost and order materials under guidance
  • Maintain records such as risk assessments and COSHH sheets
  • Supervise and instruct students in practical tasks
  • Ensure student behaviour aligns with the College Code of Conduct
  • Attend open evenings and events to promote the College

Candidate Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS within the last three years
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Motor Vehicle or related discipline (or time‑served apprenticeship)
  • On‑site experience in the trade
  • Good working knowledge of Motor Vehicle topics
  • Organised and methodical approach
  • Strong communication skills and a team player
  • Ability to work safely and comply with risk assessments
