Overview
We are working with an ambitious Insurance company/MGA that has a Personal Injury Claims Handler opportunity in their Romford office. The team currently comprises 28 in the office with 10 in the claims team, and the organisation has a very low turnover of staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage Motor (Personal Injury) claims from first notification of loss through to settlement via the relevant portals.
- Negotiate claims through to settlement and regularly communicate with brokers, solicitors and adjusters; update stakeholders on claim status; and instruct lawyers when necessary.
- Support internal and external audit processes; liaise with underwriters on key claims issues; and act as the go-to person for support and queries for Motor Claims.
- Handle a claims portfolio that is 90% injury claims on the OIC portal (£5k and below) with the remainder up to £30k.
Qualifications
- Previous experience handling Motor (Personal Injury) claims from cradle to grave.
- Understanding of OIC and MoJ claims processing in line with Indemnity and Liability.
- Strong teamwork, adaptability and a positive attitude toward change.
