Contract MOT Tester - County Council Fleet Workshop

Location: Cumberland

Rate: £32.00 per hour (Umbrella/Ltd)

Contract Length: Ongoing

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37-40 hours per week

The Role

We're recruiting on behalf of a County Council Fleet Services Department for an experienced MOT Tester to join their professional workshop team. You'll be carrying out MOT inspections on a range of council vehicles, ensuring compliance with DVSA standards and maintaining the highest levels of safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Class 4 and Class 7 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations.
• Identify and report vehicle defects accurately.
• Carry out minor repairs and adjustments when required.
• Ensure all documentation and records are completed correctly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.

Requirements

• Valid MOT Tester Licence (Class 4 & 7 essential)
• Minimum of 2 years recorded testing experience
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance (preferred)
• Full UK driving licence
