A leading healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a professional to perform GMP grade production of Gene therapy clinical products. This role involves supporting process development for Viral Vector manufacturing and maintaining GMP standards. Candidates should have a degree in Biomedical Science and relevant lab experience. You will perform GMP grade production of novel Gene therapy clinical grade products, such as Viral Vectors at the Clinical Biotechnology Centre on behalf of NHSBT, in support of ground-breaking clinical trials. You will undertake or contribute to process development activities to support the process improvements or investigations for the Viral Vector Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) production service leading to release of reports and / or products.
There are many opportunities for career advancement and progression within NHSBT with experience, from managing a section of the laboratory, right through to being a consultant lead with responsibility for the entire laboratory service. You may use your knowledge to specialise in an area vital to the operation of a modern manufacturing and / or diagnostic service, training and education or research and development.

In This Role You Will Be Required To
