A leading vehicle breakdown service provider is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join their team in the Swansea area. The successful candidate will diagnose and repair various vehicle problems while performing routine maintenance tasks. Key qualifications include a Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Qualification and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a workshop environment. Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a vehicle workshop or as a Mobile Vehicle Technician.
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
  • Experience with diagnosing electrical issues.

Mobile Vehicle Technician

Location: You will have a geographical area based on where you live. This position is covering the Swansea area

Salary: £35,000 basic, with time and a half overtime rate (£25 an hour) enabling yearly earnings to be as high as £55,000.

Hours: Varying shift patterns Monday to Sunday 40 hours with plenty of overtime. Earliest start time of 6am, latest finish time of 12am (with a mandatory 12 hour rest period).

Role overview - Mobile Vehicle Technician:
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
Requirements – Mobile Vehicle Technician:
  • We are seeking a Level 3-qualified Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Technician (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent); however, candidates with a Level 2 qualification will be considered, provided they can demonstrate their qualifications.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within the vehicle workshop or working as a Mobile Vehicle Technician
  • A full UK driving licence - no more than 9 points
  • Demonstrate technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
