We are seeking a skilled Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team, providing high-quality electrical and building services maintenance across a variety of client properties within your designated region. This role maintains consistent, professional service standards and exceeds customer expectations at every opportunity.

Note: Candidates must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

Job Description

As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems while supporting other building services such as HVAC, mechanical systems, and fabric maintenance. You will respond to reactive callouts, manage PPM schedules, and monitor contractor performance to ensure all work meets company and client standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installations for electrical systems.
  • Manage electrical PPM (planned preventative maintenance), reactive, and proactive works issued via the helpdesk.
  • Support maintenance of other building services, including fabric, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Respond to callouts as per the rota and provide expert solutions to client issues.
  • Undertake contractor control duties, monitor workmanship, and issue Permits to Work as required.
  • Ensure all electrical equipment operates to specified performance standards and maintains compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain professional service standards and represent the company positively to clients.
  • Evaluate performance and ensure proper servicing of equipment under contract.
  • Proactively liaise with clients to resolve concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Qualifications:
  • City & Guilds 2365, 2357 Level 3 and NVQ 2356 AM2.
  • City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation and NVQ 2356 AM2.
  • City & Guilds 236/2360 Electrical Installations Part 1 & 2.
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS:7671:2018), preferably with A2 Amendment.
About You
  • Proven experience in electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, installation, and inspection/testing.
  • Experience in reactive and PPM maintenance within FM or commercial building services.
  • Experience of working under strict Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Excellent communication and client liaison skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Candidates must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
