Qualifications

  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance and reactive tasks within SLAs.
  • Participate in out-of-hours callout response and occasional night work.

Mobile Air Conditioning / Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mobile Air Conditioning / Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality maintenance and compliance services across designated client properties.

This role involves ensuring adherence to Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessment, F-Gas compliance, Low Voltage Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH requirements.

You will play a key part in maintaining operational standards and exceeding customer expectations.

Job Description

The successful candidate will primarily focus on air conditioning systems while also providing first-line reactive maintenance for electrical and switchgear issues.

You will undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM), proactive and reactive tasks within agreed SLAs, and participate in out-of-hours callout duties on a rota basis. Occasional planned night work may be required as per the PPM schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessment, F-Gas, LV Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH.
  • Undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within relevant SLAs.
  • Deliver tasks to exceed customer expectations and maintain high service standards.
  • Provide first-line reactive maintenance for electrical and switchgear issues alongside air conditioning duties.
  • Participate in out-of-hours callout response (minimum 1 in 4) and occasional planned night work.
  • Carry out contractor control duties, including monitoring workmanship and issuing Permits to Work.
  • Ensure equipment operates to specified performance criteria and surrounding areas meet company standards.
  • Perform fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installations on client sites across designated regions.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience working on air conditioning systems (e.g., pressure leak tests, compressor changes).
  • City & Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration and AC Systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Qualified Electrician with 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS:7671:2008).
  • Recognised apprenticeship in air conditioning.
  • Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals and LV distribution.
