Job description

My client, a Large-sized national FM company, is seeking an experienced and qualified Multiskilled Mobile AC Engineer to join an established team on a mobile basis within the Bournemouth area. This is a dynamic mobile role working on a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, focusing on comprehensive maintenance, including PPMs, reactive breakdowns, servicing, and general building fabric tasks.

Hours of work: Monday - Friday with excellent overtime and call-out availability.

Responsibilities:

• Working on a portfolio of mixed commercial sites
• Carrying out all the servicing & maintenance of commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration units (VRV/VRFs, split & multi-split systems, chillers, air handling units).
• Performing routine maintenance and reactive repairs across various building services, including basic electrical, plumbing, and fabric maintenance tasks.
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults on a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, adhering to statutory compliance and client specifications.
• Completing all paperwork and documentation in a timely and accurate manner using a CAFM system.
• Adhering strictly to Health & Safety guidelines and company procedures.
• Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota.

My client is keen to meet with individuals with the following:

• NVQ Level 2 (minimum) in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration.
• F Gas 2079/2089 qualified (essential).
• Proven commercial experience in Building Services or an FM background, with a strong emphasis on AC maintenance.
• Demonstrable multiskilled capabilities, including basic electrical fault-finding, plumbing, and fabric repair skills.
• Experience with VRV's, VRF's, chillers, and Air Handling Units.
• 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (highly desired, or willingness to obtain).
• Additional qualifications in other trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical) are highly advantageous.
• Excellent air conditioning and refrigeration knowledge.
• Flexible with a positive, proactive attitude and approach.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
