Job summary

A public sector recruitment firm is seeking Minibus Drivers on behalf of Leicestershire County Council. This role involves transporting service users and goods across various locations, working flexible hours including split shifts. Candidates must have a valid UK Driving Licence with D1 entitlement and strong communication skills. While this is an ADHOC position with no guaranteed hours each week, there are ongoing opportunities available to make a difference in the community.

Qualifications

  • Valid UK Driving Licence with D1 entitlement is mandatory.
  • Enhanced DBS to be obtained; reimbursement available after 6 weeks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport service users and goods across the county.
  • Carry out routine vehicle checks and keep vehicles clean.
  • Help passengers on/off the vehicle and secure mobility equipment.
  • Report any incidents, defects, or issues promptly.
  • Work with council staff and maintain professional conduct.
  • Assist with minor repairs and occasional meal delivery support.

Job description

Our public sector client are looking for Minibus Drivers to join them on a long-term, on-going temporary basis.

Location: Melton Mowbray, Nailstone, Blaby, Sapcote, Croft and Blaby

Hours: Split shifts - approx. 4hrs AM & 4hrs PM (ADHOC, flexible schedule)

Contract: Ongoing Temporary | Zero-Hour Contract

Pay: £12.65ph

We're hiring 16-seat minibus drivers on behalf of our client for long-term, flexible work supporting Leicestershire County Council services. If you enjoy working with people and want regular driving work with purpose, this could be for you.

What You'll Need
  • Valid UK Driving Licence with valid D1 entitlement
  • Enhanced DBS (we'll reimburse after 6 weeks of work)
