Qualifications

  • Previous mining industry experience, preferably in gold.
  • Exposure to mine geology and grade control practices.
  • Possess a current manual Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Mining Team in ore recovery and dilution minimization.

This FIFO role from Perth if offered on 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

Your role:

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality geology services while working closely with the Mining Team to maximise operational efficiency and ore recovery. This includes:

  • Assist with diamond core logging of underground grade control and exploration programs;
  • Support the Mining Team in maximising ore recovery and minimising dilution;
  • Collect and analyse underground grade control data (face mapping, face sampling, core logging) in preparation for block modelling;
  • Assist with underground diamond drill rig management;
  • Utilise site systems and QA/QC protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of data; and,
  • Contribute to the delineation, extension and discovery of Reserves.
What You Bring:

You’ll bring your proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach and bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology:
  • Previous mining industry experience – preferably gold – with exposure to mine geology, grade control practices and reserve/stope definition drilling:
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and mining software such as Datamine and Leapfrog or similar: and,
  • Possess a current manual Driver’s Licence
