Midday Assistant – Pinfold Primary School

The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a Midday Assistant at Pinfold Primary School, Hattersley Road, Hyde, SK14 3NL. Our Trust’s vision is to support young people to develop the aspiration, motivation and to be successful; we have high ambitions for all young people in our academies and all roles are central to ensuring that we work to support this.

Details about the role:

  • Start: January 2026
  • Position: Midday Assistant (full‑time) – Salary £24,413
  • Position: Permanent, part‑time 7.5 hours per week, term time only – Salary £4,352 (Grade A Point 2)

Responsibilities:

You will be required to supervise and assist pupils during lunchtimes, both in the dining hall and during outside play.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience is not essential but would be an advantage.
  • Must be of a caring nature, patient and friendly with a consistent approach when dealing with behaviour.
  • Will require an enhanced DBS disclosure. In line with ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ guidelines, online search checks may be completed on candidates.

  • All support staff roles within our Trust have a probationary period of three months.

Selection and interview process:

  • Applications close at 12:00 on Monday 5th January 2026 (the Trust reserves the right to close the process early if suitable candidates are identified).
  • Interviews will take place on Friday 16th January 2026.
  • Visits to the school are encouraged and warmly welcomed.
