Job description

Mid-Corporate Account Handler - Birmingham

This is an excellent opportunity to build a career with a major international insurance brokerage with big plans to grow the business, and in doing so, will be creating multiple opportunities for ambitious individuals looking to develop their career within the commercial insurance sector.

This role would ideally suit individuals who have previous broker experience or underwriting within the commercial sector. It’s a very exciting time to be joining this team based in Birmingham City centre, and with anyone coming in to the business from the outset, you would have the ability to be an integral key member of team in making this a success which you’ll be recognised and rewarded in return.

This role would be dealing with clients on a daily basis with premium spends from £10k and up to £100k plus GWP, where you will provide a 360-degree service to your client portfolio. This will include liaising and building key relationships with insurers/underwriters, leading the broking strategy at renewal (including compiling bespoke renewal reports), some new business quotations, MTA’s, and being the first port of call for all client enquiries. These clients will obviously have a dedicated Account Executive or Client Director who you will be working very closely with, and therefore there would be the requirements to attend client visits when necessary.

There will be a lot of client and insurer dialogue, so confident communication skills are essential for this role, as well as good attention to detail, a professional manner and strong IT skills.

You will have the opportunity to study towards the CII qualifications or continue if you have already started, which will be fully funded by the company, and also an excellent basic salary and a comprehensive benefits package which includes a generous pension and holiday entitlement. There will also be the opportunity to earn commission.
