Protocol Education is currently seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and talented Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a prestigious mixed secondary school in the London Borough of Barnet.

The Role

We are looking for a specialist who can deliver engaging and immersive lessons in French and/or Spanish (ability to teach both to KS3 is desirable; specialism in one to KS4/KS5 is essential).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality MFL lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is a bonus).
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and a love for languages.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support GCSE attainment.
  • Collaborate with a high-performing MFL department to share resources and best practices.
The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant PGCE with experience in the UK curriculum.
  • A relevant degree in Modern Foreign Languages.
  • A proven track record of raising attainment and managing behaviour effectively.
  • The ability to start full-time in January.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
