Job Description

The purpose of this role is to be responsible for managing the receipt and booking-in of reagents and standards, coordinating metrology activities, and ensuring the upkeep of laboratory facilities.

Please note this is a full time role working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 09:00-17:15 (4 days), 09:00-17:30 (1 day).

  • Management of laboratory equipment calibration, qualification, and maintenance.
  • Management of the eLIMS-BPT Metrology module.
  • Review and approval of calibration and qualification data.
  • Scheduling and oversight of vendor visits.
  • Receipt and booking-in of reagents and standards.
  • Carry out routine weekly and monthly laboratory maintenance activities.
  • Support the resolution of quality issues.
  • Take action on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Writing and review of laboratoryprocedures, protocols, reports.
  • Support self-inspections.
  • Support client audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvements.
Qualifications
  • Degree in life sciences is preferred.
  • At least one year in a GMP- or GLP-regulated environment with a degree, working experience in a Metrologist role is preferred but not essential
  • At least two years in a GMP- or GLP-regulated environment or Metrologist role is preferrable without the desired qualification.
  • Excellent understanding of GMP.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to liaise with vendors and manage documentation effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance in a regulated environment.
  • Quality consciousness with the ability to consistently work to industry standards.
  • Positive, methodical, tenacious, and innovative approach to work.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
  • Passionate about quality and customer service.
  • Excellent training abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to understand client requirements and able to devise and articulate the most appropriate solutions.
