Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a MET Technician in a bodyshop or accident repair environment.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent is desirable.
  • ATA-accredited or equivalent training is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Strip and refit vehicle panels, bumpers, lights, trims, and mechanical components.
  • Accurately and efficiently remove and replace damaged parts.
  • Perform wheel alignment, geometry checks, and ADAS calibration.

About the Role:
Our client, a well-established and busy accident repair centre, is seeking an experienced MET Technician to join their professional bodyshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in quality work, efficiency, and delivering excellent results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strip and refit vehicle panels, bumpers, lights, trims, and mechanical components
  • Remove and replace (R&R) damaged parts accurately and efficiently
  • Wheel alignment, geometry checks, and ADAS calibration (desirable)
  • Diagnose and repair minor mechanical and electrical faults
  • Liaise with parts departments and ensure correct components are fitted
  • Work to manufacturer standards and insurance repair methods
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace
  • Complete job cards accurately and work to estimated times
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a MET Technician in a bodyshop or accident repair environment
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent (desirable)
  • ATA-accredited or equivalent training (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of strip/fit procedures across a range of vehicle makes and models
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Full UK driving licence
