Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in MES implementation and support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, support, and upgrade MES systems across the plant.
  • Collaborate with production, process, and automation teams to design robust PLC‑MES interfaces.
  • Define MES standards/specifications to streamline systems and support new lines/products.
  • Manage Engineering Change processes for new part numbers.
  • Monitor batch/sequenced assembly lines for real-time decision making.

Skills

Proven experience with MES platforms (e.g., Apriso, InSequence, Nysus, Solidat)
Strong knowledge of PLCs, ERP systems, IT infrastructure, hardware, databases, and development languages
Expertise in scripting (e.g. SQL), report/dashboard creation, and database query development
Solid understanding of PLC‑MES‑ERP integration
Job description

As the MES Engineer at our Banbury plant, you will lead the management and evolution of our Manufacturing Execution Systems. You'll plan, implement, and support MES software solutions, collaborating cross‑functionally to optimise production efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, support, and upgrade MES systems across the plant.
  • Collaborate with production, process, and automation teams to design robust PLC‑MES interfaces.
  • Define MES standards/specifications to streamline systems and support new lines/products.
  • Manage Engineering Change processes, including labelling and tagging for new part numbers.
  • Monitor batch/sequenced assembly lines, enabling real‑time decision‑making to minimise scrap and mismatches.

  • Proven experience with MES platforms (e.g., Apriso, InSequence, Nysus, Solidat).
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, ERP systems, IT infrastructure, hardware, databases, and development languages.
  • Expertise in scripting (e.g. SQL), report/dashboard creation, and database query development.
  • Solid understanding of PLC‑MES‑ERP integration.
