I am working with a leading international construction consultancy who are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major project based in Sweden. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional to be part of a high-profile development in one of Europe's most dynamic markets.

The Role:
As the MEP Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in providing cost management expertise across all mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) packages. Working closely with the client, project teams, and supply chain partners, you will ensure accurate cost control, risk management, and value engineering are applied throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for MEP works
  • Conducting cost analysis and value engineering exercises
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and payments
  • Monitoring project costs against budget and reporting variances
  • Supporting the client with financial reporting and contractual advice
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international standards

About You:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or similar discipline
  • Strong background in MEP cost management within consultancy or contractor environments
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes and FIDIC or NEC contracts (advantageous)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Previous experience in Scandinavia or wider Europe desirable but not essential
  • Willingness to be based in Sweden for the duration of the project (relocation or FIFO options available)
