Overview
Create and maintain sprinkler project programmes, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while flagging potential risks to programme delivery. The role will be based on site in Bridgwater (Somerset) and our Head Office in Birmingham, with regular travel between the two locations. Ideal candidate locations include Birmingham, Bristol or Bridgwater (surrounding areas).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain intentar y detailed project programmes using programming software (e.g. Microsoft Project).
- Coordinate with design team, project engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gain project buy‑in and agree regular touchpoints.
- Analise designs and specifications to determine resource requirements.
- Forecast labour, material, and equipment needs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential program conflicts and develop contingency plans.
- Monitor construction progress against the plan and adjust the programme as needed.
- Prepare regular progress reports for project management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
- Support the procurement process by identifying lead times for materials and equipment.
- Participate in project meetings to communicate schedule updates and constraints.

Qualifications

- 3‑5 years of experience in construction planning or project management – preferably within the sprinkler or MEP industry – essential.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project) – essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and industry practices.
- Good understanding of commercial and contractual matters and thorough experience with programming techniques.
- Experience within the construction industry and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
