About the Role:

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in empowering individuals to manage their mental health, build resilience, and develop essential life skills. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the well‑being and independence of those you support.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Provide emotional and practical support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Assist with daily living activities and encourage healthy routines.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to implement tailored support plans.
  • Build trusting, supportive relationships to promote confidence and engagement.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health needs is desirable.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to care and support.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in mental health or therapeutic support (advantageous).
To work with GSL Education as a Mental Health Support Worker, you should:
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up‑to‑date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
