A NHS Foundation Trust in Tameside is seeking a Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to deliver mental health assessments and interventions for adolescents. The role emphasizes professional development, offering support through supervision and training. Open to B4 staff due to qualify as B5. We are seeking to employ a number of highly motivated and skilled senior practitioners to join and expand our dynamic, friendly and diverse multi-disciplinary teams. This is a real chance to be part of the CAMHS transformation long term plan which will improve the mental health outcome for children and young people.
We have opportunities for new full-time Band 6 CAMHS practitioner posts in Tameside and Glossop CAMHS, open to B4 staff due to qualify as B5. These posts are based within core CAMHS, and the duty and assessment team. One of our priorities is supporting our team with their continued professional development. As such, we offer flexibility between the roles to ensure skills and knowledge are offered and expanded in many areas of our service.
CAMHS offers a wide range of mental health assessments and evidence-based interventions including family therapy, CBT, interpersonal therapy, EMDR, play therapy and psychotherapy for children and young people aged 5 to 18 years. You will be encouraged to explore your therapeutic interest alongside providing a range of quality CAMHS assessments/interventions. CAMHS also has close links with community services which work with children and young people to offer an early help and bespoke packages of care. There are plenty of opportunities to work in a true multi-agency way to help deliver a whole-system offer that communicates that all children and young people matter and that their emotional wellbeing and mental health needs are understood and supported with kindness, compassion and high-quality and safe care.
As a service we prioritise staff wellbeing and values are demonstrated in practice as a vital part of our working culture. Working hours are generally Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with flexibility as we expand opening hours to support service transformation and accommodate individual needs.
You will be supported to develop clinically, with opportunities to play to your clinical strengths and develop your clinical interests and skills, including monthly clinical supervision, line management support, peer supervision, and access to specialist treatment modality consultations.
