Overview

The role is to support an individual with their mental health (Psychosis), promoting independence and assisting them with accessing the community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide emotional reassurance, encouragement, and create a safe, calm environment where the individual can feel comfortable and supported.
• Accompany the individual on short local walks to increase time spent in the community.
• Gradually help the individual gain confidence and increase exposure to spending time in community settings such as local shops or near‑by coffee shops.
• Assist with eventual visits to Chesterfield and surrounding areas for shopping.
• Build rapport and support confidence, with potential to increase hours once confident.

Schedule / Hours

Support is required on either Tuesday, Thursday or Friday at 9 am. The role will begin with one hour per week; additional hours may be added as confidence and rapport increase.
