Overview

Mental Health Nurse - Specialist Female DBT inpatient service

Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit a mental health nurse to join the team on Fern Ward, a specialist female inpatient service. This is a full-time 37.5 hours per week role.

Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a DBT service with the opportunity to access DBT training and develop therapeutic skills
  • Be part of a psychology-informed MDT, including psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, and a consultant psychiatrist
  • Access psychologist-led reflective practice to support your professional growth
  • Learn to manage high-risk presentations safely and compassionately, developing core skills for roles in inpatient and crisis care
Requirements

The role requires a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6-12 months post-registration experience, active NMC registration, and completion of a preceptorship program. Candidates should have knowledge of NMC guidelines and ongoing professional development post-registration. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Experience includes a minimum of 6 months post-registration within a mental health or learning disabilities care environment, with demonstrated ongoing professional development in the relevant field.
