Job summary

A leading mental health care provider in Norfolk is seeking a proactive Band 5 Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician. This role involves providing comprehensive clinical medicines management services, primarily at the Julian Hospital in Norwich. Successful candidates will have a GPhC pharmacy technician registration, and an accuracy checking qualification. Qualifications

  • Registered pharmacy technician with a GPhC registration.
  • Accredited accuracy checking qualification.
  • Experience in medicines reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services to designated wards.
  • Order and manage medicines for stock and patients.
  • Counsel patients and provide information about medicines.
  • Participate in Trust-wide medicines management initiatives.

Skills

Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of electronic systems
Ability to influence and negotiate
Experience in supervision

Education

BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
ACPT recognised accuracy checking qualification
BTEC Level 4 Professional Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Services
