Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 suitably experienced mental health practitioner to work within the Bolton Mental Health Liaison Service at The Royal Bolton Hospital. The service operates 24 hours per day 365 days a year.

We are looking for enthusiastic, ‘can do’, motivated Band 6 Mental Health Practitioners from a range of professional backgrounds including perinatal, later life and CYP to join us.

About the Bolton Mental Health Liaison Service

The Bolton Mental Health Liaison Services comprises a dynamic and welcoming team of psychiatrists and mental health practitioners. They conduct mental health assessments on persons referred to the service from the Royal Bolton Hospital.

The Bolton Mental Health Liaison Service provides a reassuring and responsive service to both the referrer and the person referred.

Service Model

As one of the main mental health providers within Greater Manchester, we recognise the priority to achieve parity between mental and physical health care and are committed to achieving this, enabled by our CORE 24 Liaison Mental Health services. Our services work at the interface between physical and mental health to bridge this gap. Our teams operate 24/7 to provide responsive mental health care in the acute hospital and A&E settings, delivered by experienced and established multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
  • To act as the shift coordinator, triaging referrals.
  • To be an active participant within the multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical input to cases and supporting the development of risk and management plans.
  • To be an active participant in the ongoing development of the Bolton Mental Health Liaison service, completing relevant training, engaging in the appraisal process and being involved in service review and development.
  • As the successful candidate, you will be enthusiastic, flexible and committed to delivering high quality mental health care in the general hospital and A&E settings. You will bring with you a range of experiences and an established knowledgebase that will further enrich our teams and the service we provide.
