Job description

We are looking for a Coach or a Player Coach who is UK based and able to commit for at least 2 seasons.

About the Club

Woking has a strong squad with a good mix of youth and experience. We compete in the South East Men’s Premier Division and are ambitious to gain promotion. We offer a supportive environment for your development and a dedicated support team, including a First team Manager, Video analysis system, and healthy competition for places within the squad.

Opportunities

There are opportunities to undertake further coaching within the club and for the right candidate, further development opportunities.

Candidate Requirements

• Assist and drive forward a performance-focused squad with an agreed set of principles and behaviours.
• Apply excellent knowledge of game tactics and embed them into the team during match days and training sessions.
• Attend all league fixtures (Saturday).
• Utilise our VEO video camera to provide clipped footage, analyse match performance, and give feedback to players and the team.
• Create an environment to attract new players.

Additional Expectations

• Provide positive input across the Men's section and the entire club.
• Maintain the team’s integration within the club, contributing to social activities, coaching, fundraising, or umpiring for other teams.
• Hold relevant coaching qualifications: England Hockey UKCC Level 2, FIH Level 2, or above, or demonstrate a significant level of playing experience.
• Possess a DBS check.
• Have a proven track record of successful, positive coaching delivery and excellent people skills.
