Job description

An opportunity has arisen in the Human Resource directorate for a Medical Workforce Administrator.

You will provide comprehensive Medical Workforce service to clinicians, managers and staff to enable be successful on-boarding of doctors in training and non-training medical personnel. You will need excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a fast paced, varied workload work in a structured and methodical manner with excellent attention to detail.

You must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages; Outlook, Word and Excel and have the ability to navigate web based specialist packages.

Main duties of the job

To provide a professional effective administrative service as part of the Medical Workforce Team and provide appropriate support for the Advisor and Manager to ensure the accurate and timely recruitment and advice on employment terms and conditions for Medical and Dental Staff at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) to include Maths and English, Grade C or above
  • NVQ level 3 relevant to the role or with relevant equivalent experience
Knowledge
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Knowledge of HR systems and procedures, e.g. recruitment, terms and conditions, absences
Experience
  • Experience of working in an administrative/clerical role providing basic advice on e.g. policies, terms and conditions queries, recruitment procedures/processes
  • Experience of working with computerised database systems to input, monitor and report information (e.g. TRAC, ESR)
  • Experience of dealing with high volumes of work and working to set and flexible deadlines
  • Experience of working in a similar post such as in a recruitment or ESR in another Trust or for another organisation.
  • Experience of working with medical staff.
