Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a Medical Secretary to join the Rheumatology team. This position requires a dedicated team player who can provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Consultant and clinical team. With excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure, the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and staff. This is a fixed-term contract until March 2026, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a Medical Secretary within the Rheumatology team at Southend Hospital.

This challenging position requires someone who is a team player, flexible, organised and can work well under pressure. The post holder will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Consultant and clinical team. As a medical secretary, you will be the first point of contact for patients, doctors, and staff throughout the Trust.

This position requires excellent communication skills, dedication to exceptional patient care and service, the ability to meet the demands of working in a busy environment and be able to represent their team and department with the professionalism expected from all our staff.

Please note we are unable to sponsor this post and this post is a fixed term contract until 31.03.2026.

The main responsibilities will be to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Consultant and their team and support with the demands of the service as required.
