Overview

An exciting fixed-term opportunity (12 months) to provide competent medical secretarial support to the Gynaecology Consultants at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital for 32 hours a week.

You will join a welcoming team of experienced secretaries within the Gynaecology Department at Basingstoke. The post holder will provide comprehensive, professional and confidential secretarial support to Consultant Gynaecologists to ensure the efficient running of the service.

To provide and manage an efficient and effective full administration service for the consultants, designated clinical staff and specialist nurses, and act as the first point of contact for all forms of communication for the Consultants and the wider team.

The post holder will monitor the timetable of the consultant team, coordinate clinical and other commitments, and organise and communicate appointment and admission-related information to patients and/or carers.
