The Diabetes & Endocrine team at GRI are seeking a highly motivated and organised Medical Secretary to provide dedicated administrative support to the department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to develop professionally and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
As a key member of our administrative team, you will:

  • Provide a comprehensive and efficient medical secretarial service to the department.
  • Transcribe clinical correspondence using the Winscribe digital dictation system.
  • Handle patient enquiries in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Manage consultant diaries, coordinate and cancel outpatient clinics, and oversee clinic lists to ensure effective scheduling and continuity of care.
  • Liaise with other specialties and departments to facilitate timely and efficient patient care.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • An HNC or SVQ Level III in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
  • A strong understanding of office procedures and excellent organisational skills.
  • Advanced keyboard and typing skills with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • A sound knowledge of medical terminology (desirable).
  • A flexible, team-oriented approach and the ability to work well under pressure.
