A healthcare provider is seeking a part-time medical secretary to join their friendly secretarial team in Wansford. The ideal candidate will manage a variety of administrative duties, requiring experience in primary care and familiarity with SystemOne. We have a part time vacancy for an experienced medical secretary to join our friendly secretarial team.
Hours of work - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30am to 5pm (32 hours per week)
Experience of SystemOne desirable
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, the processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers in accordance with current policies, including the use of the electronic referral service (ERS).
a. Reviewing records and accurately producing a summary of the patients medical history
b. Accurately read-coding data on SystemOne
c. Process referrals in a timely manner
d. Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessary
e. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
f. Carry out system searches as requested
g. Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
h. Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested
j. Book appointments
