Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary to join the Moving Well Service within Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide a vital and dynamic medical secretarial support and supervisory role supporting the Moving Well Service. The post is mainly based at Minerva Health Centre, Lowthorpe Road, Preston.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Work closely with the Deputy Admin Lead, Consultants, other Clinical Professionals, Service Managers and operational managers to provide an efficient and responsive administration service.
  • Work on your own initiative and liaise effectively with a broad range of health and social care professionals.
  • Support the management of operational clinical services, supervise a team and maintain staff and client confidentiality.
  • Support and develop a responsive administration service having responsibility for the day‑to‑day supervision of the administrative team and in adherence to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Formulate all staffing rotas and ensure timely distribution.
  • Remain calm under pressure and achieve strict deadlines.
  • Motivate and influence others, suggest and implement ideas to improve team performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain excellent communication skills.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have proven communication skills, the ability to formulate staffing rotas, and experience supervising an administrative team within a clinical environment. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills are essential.
