A local GP practice in Redhill is seeking a medical receptionist to join their team. The role involves assisting in the efficient running of the practice and providing support to healthcare professionals. Friendly GP practice in Redhill. Looking for a medical receptionist to join our team.
To assist in the efficientrunning of the practice. Providingsupport to Doctors, Nurses and Practice Manager in providing a high level ofpatient care to the practice population.
We are a high achieving practice based on one site with approximately 10,500 patients, operating personal patient lists.
Our clinical team includes a clinical pharmacist, pharmacy technicians, first contact practitioners, mental health workers, nurses and HCAs.
We are part of the Redhill Phoenix PCN.
Use Emis Web, Docman 10, AccuRx amongst other packages and we are on Windows 10.
1.Open premises; prepare to receive patients atthe published opening time. Thisincludes restoring telephone services and turning on computers in appropriateroom
2.Deal with telephone and face to face requestsfor appointments, home visits, enquiries for test results and record relevantmessages for clinicians and practice manager
3.Checking emails and processing tasks andworkflow and Footfall
4.Shredding when needed
5.Extract and file patient Lloyd-George notes whenrequired
6.Undertake any training and attend staff meetingsas required such as basic life support training
7.Scan letters into patients electronic records
8.Deal with payments from patients
9.Opening post
10.Dealing with deliveries
11.Take patients height and weight as requested byDoctor
12.Provide a friendly and efficient service topatients, doctors and colleagues
13.Tidy chairs etc in both waiting rooms at end ofsurgery
14.Check that all lights, computers and equipmentare turned off in all rooms before leaving the building and set the alarmsystem
15.Undertake any other reasonable duty that may berequired and agreed with the GP Partners and Practice Manager
