The Ophthalmology department is looking for an organised and dynamic individual. The post holder will need to work well under pressure for a busy service, and will need to develop good rapport with staff members at all levels.
You will work within a complex environment and will be solely responsible for the coordination and administrative duties within the Medical Ophthalmology service, ensuring patients are booked appropriately within recommended timeframes, including for any tests and diagnostics that may be required and supporting the lead consultant.
Proactively ensuring the patient has timely appointments within their pathway in order to achieve the waiting time targets and that letter turnaround targets are achieved, liaising and co‑coordinating with all involved in the patient’s management, including clinical and administrative staff.
