Pyramid8 Recruitment are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a growing organisation with a nationwide presence, specialising in medical and industrial gas pipeline systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Gas Engineer who is Competent Person (MGPS) qualified and ready to step into a role where they can make an immediate impact.

Location & Travel

The ideal candidate will be based within a commutable distance from the Midlands up to the Scottish Borders. The role will involve travel across this region with occasional working away from home, with all overnight stays fully funded by the business.

The Role

Joining the Install and Maintenance team, you will work across a varied portfolio of healthcare and educational facilities, delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and compliance services. This is a Monday to Friday role with no weekend working, offering excellent work-life balance.

The business is committed to developing its people — while candidates must be able to hit the ground running, additional qualifications and training will be fully funded, with clear progression opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine servicing and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Diagnose, rectify, and report system faults
  • Escalate issues that may impact system integrity or safety
  • Complete accurate work reports and documentation
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance
What We’re Looking For
  • Engineering background with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Competent Person (MGPS) status (or recently expired)
  • Hands-on experience with medical and/or industrial gas systems, including:
  • Air compressors
  • Medical vacuum pumps
  • Gas manifolds
  • Alarm systems
  • Terminal units and regulators
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety best practice
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Well organised with excellent time management skills
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
