Professionally Accountable to: Medical Director
Managerially Responsible to: Hospital Manager
We are seeking an experienced full-time Medical Director & Consultant Psychiatrist who will work at Cygnet Aspen Clinic and provide senior medical cover in our specialist service for women with a diagnosis of personality disorder and associated complex needs.
The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician and will oversee and maintain the care of all ward inpatients as required and will also have responsibility for auditing the medical services rendered at the ward and ensuring their good quality in accordance to GMC standards of good medical practice and other relevant professional guidelines.
Cygnet Aspen Clinic is a specialist service for women with a diagnosis of personality disorder and associated complex needs. We provide assessment, stabilisation, treatment and rehabilitation for up to 16 women.
Individuals in our care may have complex trauma histories or have experienced regular placement breakdowns. At Cygnet Aspen Clinic we provide a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to care and treatment, with a focus on recovery and co-production with service users.
The service has a "Good" overall CQC rating.
In this role, your expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment fully supported by a Specialty Doctor and first-class multidisciplinary team including qualified nurses, psychologist and occupational therapist.
