Job description

An international engineering organisation is seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians with a mechanical and / or mechatronics background to support a short-term industrial installation project within a nutrition / flour mill environment in the UK.

The initial project will run for 3–4 weeks , with the intention of trialling collaboration and building a long-term working relationship for future projects, subject to performance and project requirements.

Role Responsibilities

• Hands‑on mechanical installation and assembly of industrial equipment
• Hoisting, positioning, and placement of machinery according to layout drawings
• Mechanical and electrical routing and installation
• Supporting mechatronic and basic electrical tasks as required
• Participating in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Working closely with an onsite lead engineer and installation team
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety procedures

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Mechatronics Technician
• Strong hands‑on installation experience in industrial environments
• Ability to work from layout drawings and technical plans
• Experience with routing, assembly, and equipment installation
• Comfortable working in industrial / nutrition / food processing facilities
• English‑speaking
• Available to work onsite for the full project duration

Project Structure

• Initial 2 weeks focused on mechanical installation
• Final week(s) involving mechatronics / electrical‑related tasks
• One shift pattern
• 50–60 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, with Saturday work possible
