About the Role:

As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the safe and accurate assembly and testing of new K‑Winch products, including wireline winches, wireline masts, and associated accessories. You will contribute to the assembly process using technical expertise, innovative thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This role plays a key part in supporting NOV's product delivery, safety initiatives, and quality standards, working closely with your team to meet performance targets while maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly and Testing – Assemble and test K‑Winch products including wireline winches and masts, following engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Hydraulic Systems – Manufacture hydraulic systems to specified standards, ensuring cleanliness and precision.
  • Quality and Safety – Maintain high quality and safety standards; report and act on unsafe practices and ensure compliance with risk assessments and company policies.
  • Team Collaboration – Support and guide colleagues, participate in team briefs, and contribute to process improvements and team objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement – Generate and implement improvement ideas and support the adoption of new techniques, technologies, and practices.
  • Workshop Organisation – Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area in line with 5S and LEAN principles.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Time‑served apprenticeship – provides the technical foundation for hands‑on responsibilities.
  • NC in a relevant subject – supports core mechanical understanding.
  • Background in a mechanical‑based profession – ensures relevant hands‑on experience.
  • Working knowledge of assembly and manufacturing environments – demonstrates readiness for the role.
